Honored to receive such eloquent words, thank you, and thanks to everyone for the kind birthday wishes! For me it is always been about trying to make a difference, and that’s something everyone can do.
Tonight’s Game of Thrones premiere would normally be an excellent birthday present, but unfortunately I’m going to be on a plane to a speaking appearance in Las Vegas. So no spoilers!
Sorry, tomorrow of course, is when I'm flying during the show! And I was also abroad and missed the Radio City premier last week, so maybe I'll get lucky with HBO on my flight?!

Bingo. Trump hopes that pursuing justice will be too slow and too politically unpopular among the Democrats. He’ll keep doing it until they call his bluff.
As I wrote about Putin many times, Trump’s not a chess player, he’s a poker player. He has a lousy hand, but wins when his feeble opponents fold. It doesn’t take much skill, only a sense of impunity.
And the more Trump’s opponents fold, the stronger his sense of impunity will get and his transgressions will grow. His supporters will also be emboldened if he seems immune to justice.

Trump & Putin will keep trying to make public the unacceptable relationship they already have in private. Summits and lifting/evading sanctions, & ignoring Putin's attacks on the US.
Putin might give up his support of Maduro in exchange for the US abandoning Ukraine. It fits the “spheres of influence” philosophy he promotes against universal values, human rights, and self-determination.
But why should Putin give up anything if Trump keeps giving him everything anyway? One reason is to give Trump something he can call a foreign policy win to help his reelection, especially after the continued North Korea humiliation.

Confusion is Trump's goal. As is undermining confidence in institutions like the Mueller investigation, the press, the FBI, and the entire government. Trust only Trump, and only what he says now, not yesterday.
One day the Mueller report exonerates him, the next it's a partisan attack job. One day he has nothing to hide, the next he's suing everyone to keep info hidden.
Trump doesn't care about blatant contradictions as long as everyone is looking at him for whatever he says the truth is today. Commands all the attention.

My friend, @GirlBeret, joined @EFFSouthAfrica after spending a considerable amount of time and money assisting a vulnerable community in her area. She was moved to do so by two things she experienced. A #thread on political choices.
1. She learned first hand how corruption may disadvantage the rich but kills the poor. She saw how corrupt officials at Mogale City had stolen funds instead if using them to make the living conditions for the community it displaced both livable and safe. She saw people die.
2. She discovered how ANC corruption killed hope and destroyed lives. She also saw how little the DA cared for poor, black people and how little commitment its officials showed to the ideals it espoused on election posters.

I am fiercely protective of this family for one reason. I get emotional trying to explain how much I appreciate them. These people have been walking through the fires of Hell for us and keep smiling and working..for free no less.
Yes, obviously the President and First Lady have my gone above and beyond my wildest hope for the nation, but to my great surprise Ivanka and Jared are pacing @POTUS & @FLOTUS in their dedication to serving this nation. It's not for the money or perks.

As these movements gain momentum, more people want to join in b/c #belonging. I'm seeing a disturbing trend of sharing experiences of patients/clients to promote how deep & human they are. Some are purely intended, some not. 3/
