Just been on the phone to my German mate to confirm. Generally considered Neo-Nazis. Several back benchers have proven ties to Neo-Nazi groups. A top MP Björn höcke wanted the holocaust memorial removed from Berlin. And the youth Wing is under surveillance by the authorities.
But one of the most influential politicians in our country thinks they should be cited for political guidance.
But the truly concerning thing is the replies I've had when pointing out....
People telling me they're not really neos.
It's almost as if a leading figure in a mainstream party tacitly endorsing them, sends a message they're acceptable within the mainstream.

Personal note for those of us who value knowing for sure that the information we believe is sound. This was one of the names my mate mentioned. Comforting to get the same answer from completely different sources.
