It could be. Or maybe not. Attaching such an expectation changes the game. I prefer sharing thoughts/code/ideas without any expectations. If anything comes out of it, it's just a bonus. For me it's a win as soon as I hit publish.

This seems inconsistent with the other advice about the importance of distribution. I don't see the downside of not using multiple platforms to reach people that for whatever reason want to consume content on their preferred platform.

I don't want to write just because I committed to post every day/wk/mo. I owe it to my audience that if I share something it's because I want to share it, I feel it's worth sharing, and I'm not doing it just because I forced myself to do it.
