Thread: the governor of Kentucky is despised by his state but trump likes him because the guv kisses his ass until his lips bleed.
The guv, Matt Bevin, made the unusual step of investing $15M in taxpayer money in an aluminum plant. That aluminum plant, owned by Bevin’s friends, has struggled to raise the money to actually build the plant.
Side note: Bevin made this investment while repeatedly cutting education and telling kentuckians there’s not enough money for Medicaid.
With the plant struggling and an already unpopular Bevin defending his crap investment, the aluminum folks miraculously found a new investor — Oleg Deripaska.
That’s right. A Putin oligarch fresh off sanctions is investing in a Kentucky aluminum plant being touted and partially funded by a governor who kisses trump’s ass and oh by the way is up for re-election this year with shit approval ratings.
Trumpism and the corruption it entails is a disease and it has spread to the states.
