#HealthMeetsTechNG platform is conceptualised to forge partnerships and grow a community of health professionals and tech experts who are keen on applying technology in African healthcare industry- @ekemma

In 2017, we had our first @facebook hackathon in Lagos on general health issues, the second in Kenya in partnership with @iHub and the third was in South Africa in partnership with @impacthubjoburg- @ekemma at the #HealthMeetsTechNG meet up

Through our #HealthMeetsTechNG hackathons and biannual Meetups, the platform has seen the emergence of collaborations and connections between health and tech practitioners- @ekemma

Over the past few years, design thinking has gained popularity for driving innovation for the world’s leading business sectors such as telecomms, banking- @uofonagoro at the #HealthMeetsTechNG meet up

The design thinking process revolves around empathy, an ability that allows one to understand how another feels- @NizenandeMachi as she introduces design thinking to participants at the #HealthMeetsTechNG meet up

The first step in design thinking is to Walk through the Empathy Map. Ask; How is a day in the life of your end user different today with your product Vs without it?- @NizenandeMachi as she introduces design thinking to participants at the #HealthMeetsTechNG meet up

Second step in design thinking is to define the problem statement using the 5Ws; what, why, who, when and where- @NizenandeMachi as she introduces design thinking to participants at the #HealthMeetsTechNG meet up
