3 years ago, a super-rich elite stood up in from to a big red bus and told the masses that a vote for their pet cause was a "vote against the elites".
The masses had been impoverished by the elites for over 35y. They had been severely impoverished for 6 Years.
The masses wanted more money for the NHS and wanted to sock it to the elites.

For those unable to register for today’s webinar, I will be live tweeting developments from the National Academies meeting on quinism beginning at 1 p.m. I have shared my disappointment with the meeting organizers that registration was closed early and at the limited space here.
One notable observation as we begin is that despite in-person registration having been closed to veterans due to capacity there are plenty of uniformed military personnel observing and plenty of empty seats. Let the record note that several veterans wished to attend but couldn’t.
Dr. Savitz has called the meeting to order. He has invited veterans to offer statements at the end, but as noted previously, online registration was closed this morning, and despite plenty of empty seats here, veterans have been told the room was full. @theNASEM.

Watched @CaitlinLong_’s awesome talk at the @mises institute back in June. Started taking notes, and thought they were worth sharing as a thread. I’ll try to quote where I can, but some of this stuff is me paraphrasing mixed in with my thoughts. All credit to Caitlin, though! 👏

2/ Economist Doug Noland has written about debt issues in his “Credit Bubble Bulletin.” Debt instruments (like bonds, treasury notes) function as “money” in institutional markets, resulting in a bubble.

i'll be back to regular dumb content tomorrow
it's a SHORT agenda tonight... but that doesn't mean it's going to be a short meeting. there's going to be a public hearing on proposed changes to the meeting structure. since this summer, there has (obviously) been greater attendance and engagement at these meetings.
a long, but good, look at the current state of our meetings.
