NEW: Today's status conf. for former Flynn associate, Bijan Kian, moved fast. There is still a tug-of-war going on for discovery.

They're also working on getting docs declassified, a process which is moving slowly, according to them, because it is “very complicated.” Not only must they produce their own docs for discovery, but meeting defense req. for FIG records (incl. the Flynn FBI interviews)...
means they are working with 7 different agencies outside of the DOJ, incl. intel agencies, to ready records. "We've gone through the Special Counsel's files & reviewed biz records, bank stmts, documents rec'd from third parties and witness interviews" prosecutor Jim Gillis said.
Because of this, he notes, production is somewhat "out of their hands."

Judge Trenga ordered the government to finish production of all non-classified documents by April 29; the classified documents must be produced, with redactions, by May 6 and any items not produced by that time – they’ll have until May 13.
As mentioned, Trenga preserved the July 15 trial date but he did gently warn attorneys to get discovery moving because that date isn’t being rescheduled.
