1. Let's say for the sake of argument that the socialists/Marxists/postmodernists are right and all religion is just a narrative.
2. Narratives do not change reality. They create bubbles. As long as the bubble created & reality are not too far apart the narrative can continue.

3. When the narrative becomes divorced from reality those within the bubble get smacked with the reality 2x4 and the narrative withers away as those within the bubble go insane or die out.
4. So, if religions are narratives then three of those major narratives have survived for 3000+ years, 2000+years and 1400+ years give or take without major change. There has been some changes to be sure but the core narrative has remained the same.
5. The narratives have not withered away but have grown stronger over those centuries as more and more people embraced them. In other words those narratives are not divorced from reality as the Marxists/postmodernists claim.
6. In fact, due to their long lasting nature; it can be argued that there must be core beliefs in all three that match or explain reality. Sadly, this can't be said about socialism/marxism.
7. The Marxism/socialism narrative has only been around for about 150 years and the followers of this narrative always fall to reality. The narrative lasted the longest in the USSR when it was given free reign over all other narratives. 70 years before utter failure.
8. China may take the title, as it's coming up on it's 70th year under Marxism but it has had to make a couple major changes to survive and it's still not on stable ground. Time will tell there.
9. So in the battle of narratives, if we go with what has worked the longest (everytime it's tried), it looks like religion is a much more powerful force than Marxism/atheism and has more answers for humans. It also appears to explain reality better than socialism does.
10. In other words, even using the lefts own arguments about religions being nothing but narratives, it's clear that those religion narratives trumps the socialism/atheism one.
