Thabo Mbeki says he could not ask people to vote ANC because as they veered off the line, they continued to claim they have a good story to tell. He could not support the lies. He now believes their renewal commitment is genuine.

And yet the ANC is still fielding the miscreants in their party list that offended him in the 1st place. They are many and going to Parly. Something doesn't add up!! Cyril is a good well intentioned person. But he leads a party he has limited power to change.

He is working with a team he cannot trust led by a gangster state leader as SG. The only viable option is a constructive implosion and a rebirth of a party grounded on high moral and ethical leadership. This is mandatory.

Thabo Mbeki statement betrays a heavy dose of nostalgia and wish for the old party of Nelson Mandela. That's gone. JZ made sure of that. In a very strange way he backs Kgalema Motlanthe who states that the ANC must lose elections to renew.
