I'm not really investing any time in the 2020 Democratic primary because it's too far away for anything to mean anything. Four years ago right now, the GOP race was a heat between Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, and Trump hadn't declared. Walker didn't even make it to Iowa.
Other than building up enough recognition to get into the first debate, none of this matters. And most of the Dem candidates already have it. The only one who's really benefiting from this endless churn is Buttiegeg, and he's got no real shot at the nomination.
Biden is a perfect example of this: he's a good guy and has done a lot of good for America. But he's also out of step with the modern Democratic party, and has little enthusiasm behind his push for the nomination. We're talking about him because of who he was, not who he is.
