THREAD: Though Mizzou WR Emanuel Hall was an UDFA for the #Bears, I see him as essentially another draft pick. Here’s why:
To paraphrase Lightning McQueen, Emanuel Hall is speed. As far as acceleration off the snap and the ability to separate from defensive backs with raw speed goes, Hall may be the best receiver in the class.
Once he’s in the open field, Hall is very tough to catch. After a well-placed deep ball, he is able to maintain his top speed and fly right past defensive backs with ease.
Hall is raw as a route runner, but there’s definitely potential there. He uses the hesitation well - notice the head fake here - and has flashed the ability to sink his hips into his cuts.
Hall can flip his hips well, and he has very good body control. I could see him being a reliable sideline catcher on out routes and corner routes, in addition to his stellar work on go routes.
Unless there are some off-the-field concerns literally nobody knew about, I’m genuinely shocked that Hall didn’t get drafted. The #Bears found themselves a steal in undrafted free agency.
