NEW via @mattzap: Mueller expressed his concerns that Barr's depiction of his findings failed to capture ‘context, nature, and substance’ of the investigation in a letter to Barr and then a phone call during which Mueller pressed Barr to release executive summaries of his report.
BREAKING: In a letter to Barr in late March, Mueller told Barr that Barr's depiction of Mueller's 'principal conclusions' of the Trump investigation “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of the probe.

A day after Mueller sent the letter to Barr, they spoke by phone for about 15 minutes and Mueller said he was concerned that news coverage of the obstruction investigation was misguided and creating public misunderstandings about the office’s work.

To keep his job, the deputy AG worked to mollify an often angry Trump. Rosenstein’s actions are under renewed scrutiny, as he played a key role in releasing Mueller’s findings in a way even some of his supporters say was overly favorable to Trump.
