Using this logic we should also exempt trucks carrying cows from getting speeding tickets. If something bad happens on the road .... oh well, at least the cattlemen can probably salvage some hamburger.
You’re worried about your kids in your car? That’s collateral damage. If the cattlemen rule Congress they rule the road.

A former NRA shill, she now wants gun laws.
She used @HillaryClinton to get elected and then in the middle of a constitutional crisis over Trump says that Clinton should have resigned.

It would be impolite and inaccurate to say that @ewarren has balls, but whatever it takes to be President, she’s got it.
We’re tired of indecisive wimps who rant against @realDonaldTrump to get elected and then don’t do anything about him. At least she can kick his a— in 2020.

Before she joined the AG’s office @carlymelin ran a “trade council” where she shilled for sulfide mining.

Glencore already controls PolyMet and could go up to 75% ownership yet Glencore isn’t guaranteeing one penny of PolyMet’s “financial assurances” to the State for cleanup from its sulfide mine in Minnesota’s Lake Superior watershed.

It’s amazing that both Minnesota Senators @amyklobuchar and @TinaSmithMN keep shilling for PolyMet’s sulfide mine in the Lake Superior watershed even though controlling shareholder Glencore (which has a bad environmental and corruption record globally) won’t pay for clean-up.
Governor @Tim_Walz:
Former Governor @GovArne is on top of this and wrote every member of the legislature about the “financial assurances.”
You’re getting duped by corrupt DFLers on the Iron Range if you don’t see this environmental disaster and that taxpayers are getting scammed.

Thread about airplane creeps: I’m on a plane from a late-evening stopover from and was very tired and had a row to myself to sleep but couldn’t avoid noticing what was going on in the row behind me.
A man appearing in his late thirties was obviously delighted to be seated next to a teenager separated from the rest of her family. He started off by asking about her career plans and laughed when she said she wanted to be CEO and kept giving her ridiculous advice.
She was friendly and he seemed to take that as a welcome cue to get very familiar and started teasing her and kept saying that he wanted to take her out to eat, which she was ignoring. At this point I had to stay awake in case anything went further than that.

2nights ago, Dec 10 night, bet 11-2am I was harassed & nearly assaulted on an @Olacabs ride from Bangalore Airport>City. I am sharing my story because after 3days of followup, I have received no update & in fact been charged for the scariest ride of my life.This is what happened
I got into the @Olacabs at 11:31pm time at Bangalore airport. The route directed the driver to take the Toll road into the city. The drive turned off this route towards the back road to avoid the toll, claiming he had no cash. The back road is a narrow, long and unlit.
One that I (& many women I know) are uncomfortable going via, especially at night. I was alone in the car, at this point past midnight, & felt uneasy about this route. I asked the driver to please turn around & go back to the toll road & follow the route directed by the app.

There is nothing more for you to do. There are two outcomes:

-you reaching your target

either is fine

realizing losses > being a bagholder

Police depts across the country routinely are lazy/lying/victim-blaming when it comes to crashes involving bicycle riders and cars.
If there are no witnesses or video, almost always it is assumed that the bicycle rider did something wrong, and the driver was in the right.
But that's just not reality. There are endless cases where drivers break laws, kill+injure bikers/peds, but are rarely/never prosecuted.
