John Minford, #SunTzu 6: 7 "Be sure of defense by defending the unattacked."
Stepping into our way-back machine, we set the dials for 793 AD. Our location is Lindisfarne, a Holy Island off the coast of Northumberland, long before it was a part of England. Not knowing yet to dread them, Viking Longboats are seen approaching as we arrive.
Our monastery has been here now for 150 years or so. No one really remembers its founding, shrouded in myth by now, it is ancient, and rich...and unprotected, undefended. How did the Vikings know? Who knows? Perhaps they had reconnaissance. Here they come, mad with battle lust.
We have no defenses and are not ready. We have never been attacked before, so we are undefended. How long will it take us to learn from this complete defeat? Seeing the carnage and cringing, we set the dials again. We're seeking a geographer name L. Dudley Stamp in the 1930s.
Sir Laurence is a professor at the London School of Economics. Although we can easily find him, scoring a meeting will not be easy, or so we fear. We succeed! What does Sir Laurence explain to us? The Germans are surely considering an invasion and we must prepare.
So, he's decided to complete an exhaustive land survey and here is what he found. There are about 1,500 castles in Britain. And every one of them is placed strategically. If you wanted to hole up in readiness to fight, they're each of them in the exact place you'd want them.
Oh, what a difference 1,200 years makes! Well, let's refine that. It really was just about 800 years during which the vast majority of Britain's 1,500 castles were built, roughly ending in the 16th Century. Now, let's talk about cannon. Everyone says they ended castles. Not so!
What's better, a loose cannon on the ground, or a secure cannon on a wall? Who has the advantage of testing artillery lines, the castle or the invaders? No, cannon were a better advantage FOR the castles than they were a threat TO them. So why did we stop building them?
Kings is the answer. Kings HATE castles, except the one they're in in any given moment. Actually, what they hate are Lords living inside fortified castles, thinking to become the King. If you're the lord of a castle, you're safe. Even from the King. This causes ambition.
It was the rise of the nation state that brought end to the age of castles, not cannon. As Kings grew in power, they had to remove the Lords from their castles. And why? Because Lord in castle ensured defense by protecting the unattacked. The Lords were too safe. Had to go.
What Sir Laurence explains to us about the location of the 1,500 castles is the real reason Hitler did not invade England. There was no way to blanket the island with enough soldiers to overcome all that resistance. England had ensured defense by protecting the unattacked.
Remembering those raiding Vikings attacking the undefended in 793, we see the transformation and how the old walls still stood, safeguarding the entire world from Hitler's ambition. Wow. But what about us over here in the US at the time? We had the Atlantic protecting us, right?
Not so! U boats. Consider 1942. You can read the story for yourself, but I'll quote it below:

newenglandhistoricalsociety.com/u-boat-attacks…
"German U-boat attacks officially started against merchant ships along the Eastern Seaboard of North America. From then until early August, Nazi U-boats dominated the waters off the East Coast, sinking fuel tankers and cargo ships with impunity and often within sight of shore."
"In less than seven months, U-boat attacks would destroy 22 percent of the tanker fleet and sink 233 ships in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The U-boats killed 5,000 seamen and passengers, more than twice the number of people who perished at Pearl Harbor."
It's a disturbing story, yet as all war stories with the distance of time, stirring indeed. Hitler realized the coast of New England was undefended. Now, let's retrench and employ a hypothetical. What if, during the years from 800 - 1,600 England had NOT responded to the Vikings?
What if She had NOT built the castles? Absolutely 100% guaranteed, Hitler would have invaded. Had he taken over England, first, it is entirely possible he may have defeated an unprepared America. He just couldn't get round those damned castles. Ha!
Dateline 2019. Newsflash. 90 years ago, ancient castles save England and the world, by defending the unattacked, as prophesied by Master Sun, 2,400 years previously. Nostradamus bows in awe, and retreats from the stage. Update in 90 more years.
I hope it's completely obvious by now that we could go again with Ronald Reagan and the USSR, and peace through strength. Reagan defended the unattacked.
I hope it's completely obvious by now that Obama did the exact opposite. He invited ISIS into existence and failed to put them down. Yes, @POTUS had to attack them, there, in order to protect us here. No question. But what he is actually doing is protecting the as yet unattacked.
Under Obama, Congress was equally stupid. Sequestration? @POTUS had to fight to get the funding to restore our military, and to defend the unattacked. Otherwise, like Lindisfarne, we invite Vikings to raid and pillage and the fault is only our own.
I hope it's completely obvious by now that beyond stupid, a purely corrupt Congress sides with the Vikings against our people and our wealth at the Southern border. Walls work. Ask Hitler. Congress invites the Vikings and gladly spends their gold coin in payment.
To be clear, the invaders are NOT the illegal aliens streaming North. The invaders are their lords, the Drug Cartels, our enemies around the globe supporting the invasion, and the American corporations as well benefiting at every stage of this invasion. The enemy within is worst.
It is time to build Castle America. That we know.

Now then, what about you, personally? Have you secured your family? Is your home your castle? Do you own firearms? Do you know how to use them? Are you in fighting trim, yourself? Are you defending the unattacked?
If you can, please review yesterday's lesson and reread today's, in advance of Master Sun's guidance tomorrow, where he pulls both themes into a single statement.
