You are not one of “those types.” You are redeemable. Your flaws are the result of the influence of people and things outside of and less than yourself. Your potential is worth more than the suffering of others. Your value is inherent. Jesus and God himself are in your image.
You are chosen first and punished begrudgingly. You are the default authority, actual and moral, unless proven otherwise and often even still. You are owed credit, low bars and high praise. You are entitled to the norm. Everyone else is a lesser version of you. You expect it.
