First Euro poll to show the Conservatives in fourth place. Suspect could fall yet further. If it comes to pass would be the first time in political history the Tories come fourth in a national election.
Labour clearly losing out to the Lib Dems, as are CUK. Some evidence now that, in England at least, Lib Dems are building on their local election success and finally beginning to establish themselves as party of Remain.
And woah, that’s not at all. This is for a *general* election. Tory party only just in second. Labour and Tories between them only on 50%.
A lot could change. But as I wrote earlier in the week, conditions are ripe for a big realignment in British politics.

One way or the other, I have a feeling the Conservative party is going to change quite dramatically and change soon. It’ll end this decade a very different beast to how it was at its beginning.
It is worth saying- no party had topped the popular vote in a national election which wasn’t Labour or the Conservatives since the Liberals won the gen election of 1906. UKIP did it in 2014. Farage might be about to do it again (if polls are right) by a bigger margin in 2019.
Even worse for the Tories. First time they’ve been third in a national opinion poll since a brief period in 1986. LibDems up 7. Net result of all of this? Almost certainly a Labour government, possibly with a majority.
But would also be a Labour government with by far the smallest percentage of the popular vote of any government, ever.
