Tories threatening to bring the Withdrawal Agreement Bill on June 3rd.
I bet they don't. Why? Because it will be hit with a referendum amendment, which will bring may's government down.
And. If she brings it and it fails, she can't bring it again without another Queen's speech.

And and. If enough Tories are ready to boot her out, defeating her Bill is the easiest and quickest way to do it.
Therefore she has no chance at all of getting a majority.
And and and. Theresa May has got form when it comes to abandoning votes at the last minute.
No. I think she's going to be so hammered in the Euro elections on the 23rd that she finds herself can never win another vote again, and has to resign.

I'm not talking about me. I don't mind Scottish, but I don't vote Tory anyway. I'm talking about Tory voters
The Tories have done this to themselves. They've spent five years stirring up English nationalism among their own voters. That's the price you pay when you fuck with that kind of politics.
I'm not saying Gove will drive all the Tories away. Just . . . enough. Enough that the Tories won't win a majority.

effectively it's both the European parliament and the European Council that decide the Presidency by mutual agreement.
Neither wants it to be entirely in the hands of the other
At the moment, rules as they are, each group in the parliament nominates their lead candidate, and the largest group after the Euro elections, their candidate gets the job
The Lib Dems are part of the ALDE group in the European parliament.
And their candidate for the Presidency is Margrethe Vestager.

Worth noting that the “get them to vote on a referendum and then choose options” strategy couldn’t work. It would be open to MPs to put down an “only with a referendum” amendment to the Withdrawal Agreement Bill at a later stage.
So not only democratically dubious (sensible for MPs to decide on a referendum once they know what the live options are) but also useless strategy even on its own terms.

On Monday, MPs approved Sir Oliver Letwin’s proposal to give control of the Commons Order Paper on Wednesday 27 March to backbench MPs so that they could hold indicative votes on alternatives to the Prime Minister’s #Brexit deal.
The decision to back ‘The Letwin Amendment’ was seen as controversial as it disapplied a Commons rule - Standing Order 14(1) - which says that the Government largely controls what business is debated in the House.
