If a 12 year old is raped by her father and the father takes her to get an abortion, the evidence of the crime will be destroyed and he will go on molesting his victim for years. If however the child is born, his crime will be discovered and she will be rescued from the abuse.
And this exact kind of scenario happens all the time with the help of the fine folks at @PPFA, who are more than happy to assist an abuser in covering up abuse

Over the last 24 hours pro-abortion people have threatened to kill me, kill my family, rape my wife, rape my daughter, and assault me. They’ve wished death on me, on my children, on all pro lifers. They’ve wished rape on my wife and my daughter.
I remember when the Left told us that criticism of Ilhan Omar was “putting her life at risk.” Will leftists have the same concern for the lives of my wife, my children, and myself?
Leftists on this thread are saying they don’t believe me. I’ve already provided the evidence but I guess I’ll put it in this thread for the sake of convenience.

On my show today we discussed the death penalty. I said that I have come to support it, after opposing it for years. But there is one problem with the death penalty that still gives me pause and it’s a problem I never hear anyone bring up:
I’m concerned about the psychological and moral burden it has on the people tasked with administering it. I think it might be argued that execution is a job which no human is fit or able to perform without severe consequences to their soul and psyche.
In the death penalty doc “Into The Abyss,” the first interview is with a prison chaplain who you can tell has been utterly broken under the weight of attending so many executions and being exposed to so much death.

Well any credible list of the best WW2 generals would include Rommel. You do understand that when we say “best” we don’t mean “most morally upstanding,” right? This is about military prowess.
It’s pretty flabbergasting to see all these replies shouting “well would you put a NAZI on a list of best WW2 generals????” Uh, yes I would. As any person with any familiarity with the subject would.
I think Michael Jackson was a child abusing scumbag. But if I was to rank the best pop stars in history, it would be absurd to leave him off the list. He was a great performer and singer yet an awful wretch of a person. There’s a lot of that kind of dynamic throughout history.

A 12 year old girl raped by an adult today in Alabama:
—her rapist can get as little as 2 years in prison
—she'll be forced to carry a resulting pregnancy to term
—she'll receive little help from the state to raise her child
—the rapist has parental rights
AL has some of the most favorable parental right laws in the country for rapists.

The rapist must be *convicted* of 1st degree rape—statutory rape is 2nd degree so doesn't qualify—and then the victim has to petition the court to terminate parental rights.
Many other states just require rape convictions, 1st degree, 2nd degree or even misdemeanor.

There are also states which allow the victim to ask the court to strip parental rights even if there's no rape conviction (there's an evidenciary hearing with a lower standard of proof).
