I’m so tired of Dominionists stating tax dollar waste is perfectly fine for Conservatives to make pointless runs at the constitution to challenge federal purview.

The Federal Government has constitutional power to tax and ensure national security. We are Canadian provinces, with well defined areas of responsibility & decision making.

Funds spent to re-establish what’s already known is wasted taxpayer dollars.

Comparing a pointless waste of time & money to actions meant to increase the reliability & trustworthiness of news Canadians need to get accurate coverage is a very false equivalence.

Even if LPC’s Media initiative fails, it’s intent is to strengthen democracy & availability of accurate reliable information dissemination to citizens of Canada.

Con lawsuits are political theatre meant to challenge federalism, & our Federal Parliamentary Democracy & Constitutional Monarchy.

The courts decision is clear from the outset. As the constitution is written, the Federal Government has purview to tax & secure the nation.

Challenging the federal imposition of a carbon tax is being used to prime the electorate for a Conservative attack on the Constitution and Charter of Rights. CPC has this planned after the October 2019 election, if they win a majority.

A constitutional convention requires 7 provinces representing 50% + 1 of the Canadian population, support of the majority of the senate and the Prime Minister.

Harper stacked the Senate, conservatives have engineered 7 provincial majorities representing 50% + 1 of population.

The only remaining component is the control of the Executive Branch of Government of Canada.

One action to preserve democracy, one to destroy the constitution and the protections it provides us all. The two actions couldn’t be more disparate if you tried.

Subverting Canadian democracy isn’t an action supported by the vast majority of the Canadian population. Only ideologues who would personally & financially benefit by destroying the Constitution & Charter would see this as a feature to cast a supportive vote for CPC.

With the report today that Kenney is planning to assist CPC to campaign in Ontario, there is little doubt provincial and federal conservatives have joined forces to defeat climate change action. For whose benefit? The fossil fuel industry.

Two provincial premiers have taken the federal government to court to challenge the constitutionally assigned federal power to impose climate action. Kenney is threatening court challenge of federal jurisdiction if carbon tax is imposed by LPC in Alberta.

Our nation and Canadian democracy are in serious jeopardy.

Conservatives are literally subverting the will of the majority of Canadian citizens. Seventy percent of Canadians supported increased climate change in Nov 2015.

Conservatives have taken it upon themselves to subvert the will of 70% of the Canadian population over the last 3.5 years & have succeeded in blocking any significant climate action.

They’ve also engineered the required elements to amend or remove the constitution & Charter.

Review this overview of Canadian Conservative actions regarding climate:

* Overt support of yellow vest protestors regardless of ties to nationalism
* Overt support of fossil fuel, industry corporations, secret meetings with industry & regular promotion of industry interests

* Demonization of progressive leaders with elected mandate to provide climate action (Trudeau; Notley)
* Refusal to offer a climate plan for review
* Alberta UCP platform and industry documented plans for increased fossil fuel production

* Demand for multiple pipelines for access to tidewater & Eastern Canada
* Demonization and calls for criminalization of environmental protestors
* Personal attacks and character assassination of sitting PM using manufactured scandals to destroy popular support.

* Official fed & prov Con opposition leaders meeting with Indian federal government to promote fossil fuels (Scheer; Kenney)
* Use of Finkelstein stetegies and Methods to generate division in electorate (divide & rule)

* CPC MP’s and Provincial Legislators putting climate denial/doubt narratives on the record in Parliament & in Legislatures across the nation
* MSM op ed’s and conservative internet and social media propagation of climate change denial/doubt

* Use of unethical, possibly criminal, methods to win leadership and general elections (Kamikaze campaigns, money laundering, identity fraud, Evangelical Christian block voting, voter suppression tactics)

Look at the sum total of these actions.

Conservatives are blocking ANY and ALL substantive climate action, federally & provincially.

Cons are systematically attacking the Constitution to block federally mandated carbon reduction strategies, in a coordinated attempt to remove the power of the federal government to regulate fossil fuels.

What would Conservatives do with a majority federal government with the power and opportunity to remove the constitution; forever blocking Canadian climate action?

This puts into serious question how 7 provinces have been engineered as Conservative majority governments.

It should alert every Canadian to pay attention to the authenticity & reliability of Canadian federal & provincial elections and question the security of our voting systems.

This is a serious threat to our national security, unity as a nation, protections guaranteed by the Constitution & Charter and catastrophic environmental damage without regulation for health & safety.
