It is not enough to call it 'projection', when it manifestly is not projection.

Scott Cato and the paranoid tendency she is part of cannot take political opposition, debate or criticism in good faith. That is why she and they are drawn to conspiracy theory.
It would be 'projection' if @toadmeister had compiled a website, 'the bad girls of remain', perhaps. But his and Goodwin's point is very different.
Any critic of the greens and their political ambitions is a 'denier'. We can't simply be allowed to disagree. There has to be psychological, financial, or other amoral motivations. Scott-Cato's political understanding is limited by her own intransigence.
Less charitably, we could call it narcissism. Today's narcissists believe that essential characteristics underpin 'ethics'. All that's needed to prove it is a database of the 'connections' between others. ...
Good people are drawn together by 'ethics', whereas the database exposes the nefarious political organisation of the others.
The paranoid green outlook does not differ much between greens.
It really is a defining characteristic of contemporary green-remain-leftism.
Greens' outlook is dependent on stories, and their political lives depend on sustaining those stories. This is because environmentalism (broadly) is not founded on principle or thought, and there is no culture of debate in environmentalism.
Thus, on the green view *all* politics -- and all necessary facts of political life -- is a conspiracy. Especially democratic politics.
Only 'ethical' people may participate in political life, on the green view. And 'ethics' are essential characteristics, not principles to be contested. On this basis, nobody is allowed to disagree.
All you need to do to exclude someone else from political life is point to the *interest* that someone else has in their political argument.

But *interest* is at the heart of politics, green or not.
