It's genuinely scary - and a sign of how easily people are propagandized - that they think press freedoms are only available to special individuals whom the government regards as "journalists." The whole point of the 1st Am is that this right is available to *everyone*
People who think "press freedoms" only belong to a special, cloistered, privileged class called "journalists" are displaying not just historic ignorance but also dangerous authoritarianism. The 1st Am was written as a response to the British attempt to license who could publish
