I really wish trump would just shut up. Ever.
He talks. I get angry. People get angry. He just makes people angry.
Trump’s singular M.O. is to just to ruin good people’s moods.
Trump’s like a really persistent & annoying middle school bully that you can’t ever separate yourself from. Ever. And the things he says & does, all the time, everywhere, actually are destroying the damn world. And he doesn’t care. Bc he likes annoying you.
Like yesterday. It’s Memorial Day. A bunch of really decent people working in social, criminal, civil justice are trying to relax. Maybe even taking a day off. “I know!” He thinks. “I’ll hit ‘em w/ a Tweet claiming to care about criminal justice to trigger them!” And it works.
I’ve thought about muting him on here. I don’t follow him. But i don’t think ignoring him helps. Because his cruelty hurts people. Kills people. And he’s the president and what he says “matters” from the standpoint that it has dire consequences. So back to: just shut up please.
