Two Lib Dem leadership campaigns to get up and running this week
I’m at the Southbank where the real leadership contest is about to begin 
Ed Davey’s campaign slogan is “back in the game.” He describes his political career: “Climate change, liberalism, winning - that’s been my story.”
Davey puts “profoundly radical” environmental policy at the front and centre of his campaign. He says he wants to “decarbonise capitalism” through “systemic change in the city of London” and “changing our whole financial system and economy.”
Davey says he would rather Change UK MPs join the Lib Dems than form an electoral pact with them. “We are open-minded, generous and giving... people [CHUK] are entitled to make mistakes,” he told me.
Davey says there is “just no way” he’d take the Lib Dems into coalition with a Johnson-led Consevatives or Corbyn’s Labour.
