This book is the most important work I’ve ever done in my life, and I feel deeply honored to tell it. It follows Americans from coast to coast, from offices in the Twin Towers to volunteer firefighters in Shanksville to air traffic controllers to generals at the Pentagon....
I was unprepared for how emotional the writing of this book would be. Seeing 9/11 through the lens of others forever changed my understanding of that day. The names and stories inside are ones I won't ever forget....
