It’s not just his time as foreign secretary. I covered Boris Johnson’s first year as mayor of London. It was utterly chaotic with multiple resignations within months. It’s telling that not one, but two of his former Tory appointees at City Hall are now standing against him.
Very few people who have worked closely with Boris Johnson have much good to say about him. Here’s his former deputy mayor and fire chief discussing his abilities with Johnson’s predecessor as London mayoral candidate.

Downing Street insisting a Meaningful Vote will go ahead tomorrow but being *very cagey* about what that vote will look like. May's spokesman repeatedly refusing to rule out that it will actually be a provisional vote.
However, all the signs are that the meaningful vote WILL be pulled tomorrow and replaced with a provisional one, thereby breaking May’s pledge to Parliament.
There's definitely going to be a Commons vote tomorrow and the government will definitely call it a "meaningful vote," but unless something changes in the next few hours its looking unlikely to actually be one.
