#Tunisia 75 ppl from #Bangladesh #Egypt #Morocco & #Sudan were rescued yesterday morning by the #Maridive601 Offshore Vessel. Now the survivors & the ship crew are stranded at sea off #Zarzis coast as Tunisian authorities are not allowing to disembark. #Italy & #Malta are silent.

According to the manager of the shipping company, #Maridive601 was instructed by the Italian MRCC to bring people to #Tunisia or to #Libya, whit both authorities not responding. #Migrants are stranded without aid as Tunisia refuses to let ship dock.

Is the UN @Refugees involved? UNHCR wants to support the establishment of a national asylum system & build national capacity for #refugee protection in #Tunisia. @cochetel is UNHCR preparing to host refugees fleeing #Libya? Medenine gov. says it doesn't have enough resources.

#Maridive601 is still stranded at sea, with no authorisation to disembark 75 ppl rescued in international waters. On May 30, around 3:12 PM, they received the distress call from #Italy. I have asked to @eu_eeas about the case & the #EU disembarkation plan. Still no reply.

@eu_eeas For refugees in #Tunisia there is very little health care & almost no education systems. No regular employment. #Tunisia has no domestic legislation on asylum, #UNHCR deals with asylum requests on its behalf.

@eu_eeas #Maridive601 @cochetel What language was spoken by @TunRedCrescent to communicate with stranded 64 from #Bangladesh, 9 #Egypt , 1 #Morocco & 1 #Sudan, including minors, at sea since 2 weeks. They don't seem to agree in disembarking in #Zarziz #Tunisia
