The UAW would do a lot better in a world where 98% of electric buses weren't in China. Chinese factories are manufacturing the future. We could do the same. Good work in both places! Unions have been burned by green jobs promises before (hi Obama)...

...But has there been a better policy framework for labor than the Green New Deal in the last four decades??? Are the social reproduction unions (and flight attendants!) going to be the only ones going to bat for communities and workers?

Anyway, this isn't just on labor. We all have to do better. But we also have to be clear on the question: how do we build labor support for mass green investment? No wavering on the end goal of workers surviving the climate emergency--thanks to their work!

(Last thing: this is about leadership. Media loves a white working class hardhat against enviros story, and will exaggerate the shit out of it. Responsible labor leaders could do a lot to push back on these stories. Problem isn't the rank and file majority, its bad leadership)
