Best known for getting downhill in gap schemes where he uses his power and big hands (10”) to his advantage. Like him as puller in Counter GT, has good quick feet, redirects well, plays w/high motor. Executed down blocks w/good leverage regularly #GiantsPride
I differ the most, in that I REALLY like his potential as Zone Blocker. By his 3rd step his balance, and inside hand were VERY consistent. Showed some savvy cutting off 2i DTs (not easy), and again his balance/nimble feet can be weapons on perimeter #GiantsPride
Transition
Can see him stepping in as extra 3rd T/TE in short yardage situations immediately, has better leverage in run game than Wheeler, and more versatility than others competing for TE3. Foundation is v solid, & ++character traits (team captain) #GiantsPride
Like his Jump Set a lot, vs snug 5-tech DE’s is able to time first strike/quickly cover up. Solid in anchor/w feet to reset or ability to run off. Seems like if Scar in NE had him he could become VERY dangerous in Jumps #GiantsPride
In Angle/Vertical Sets, struggled against rushers with good Use of Hands (UoH) who win early in down. Habits of turning shoulders too early, leading w/head, and overextended 1st strike, all led him to be exposed at times #GiantsPride
The vertical set issue, and to some degree body type/athleticism, makes his profile kinda close to Nate Solder, think exposure to vets like he and Remmers is HUGE for development #GiantsPride
Transition
He is developmental in areas, but has a solid foundation, and good athleticism. Angle Set technique prob improves and functions against average competition in NFL as a floor. Ceiling ties into many factors, but again high character helps #GiantsPride
