Asian-American success is not proof America isn't a white privileged country. In fact it's the opposite — Asian-American socioeconomic performance has its roots in a racist set of immigration policies that ensured only Asians who were culturally useful to white people could come.
Indeed, prior to these immigration policies being put in place in the 50s and 60s, Asian-Americans were not viewed all that differently from African-Americans. Both were viewed as having more primitive character, lower intelligence, not worthy to be in white spaces.
Holding up Asian-Americans as evidence that we don't need to address white privilege is ridiculous. It also erases the very real problems and discriminatory assumptions Asian-Americans face in society as a result of being held up as a token "model minority."
Basically, Heather MacDonald is proving how deep white privilege goes in her argument that it doesn't exist.

But I wouldn't expect anything more profound from someone who wrote a book called "The Diversity Delusion."
