It's been a year since the FCC officially repealed Obama's mangled form of net neutrality and frankly, for post-apocalypse, the Internet seems to work pretty well.
The Obama order cited Free Press 46 times. What a shame we stuffed these guys.
These guys.
Of course the Democrats in Congress have a much more pedestrian motivation for trying to reinstate Obama's mangled form of net neutrality: their House-passed bill would allow universal service fund taxes (presently 20% on phone bills) to be applied to Internet service.
Only 13 Democrats voted with House Republicans to amend Pelosi's bill to prevent it from opening this back door around the Internet Freedom Act:
But all 13 did so only as a stunt -- because they immediately turned around and voted for the bill even though the amendment failed.

So it's fair to say every House Democrat supports using net neutrality as a trojan horse for putting a hefty tax on your Internet bill.
TAKE ACTION: Today's a great day to tell the Senate to BURY Nancy Pelosi's #TaxTheInternetAct:
