Like I keep telling you, we have already won. Everything now is about the manner of its defeat. The fact of its defeat is inevitable.

Would you like me to explain?
Had this motion passed, the opposition could have taken control of parliament and stopped Brexit on its own initiative.

The fact that is failed doesn't mean Brexit can't be stopped, just not in that particular way.
The Tories haven't got a leader yet. When they do, whoever it is - just say it could be any of them - whoever it is has already committed themself to go back to Europe and renegotiate the withdrawal agreement.
Which we know is going to fail.
So this is the problem the Tories have got. Their new leader promised to renegotiate, and failed to do so. An unelected government failing on its first day. Either they lose another prime minister or we get a general election.
That means we get a general election whatever happens.
Either the Tories call an immediate general election, or else they have to call one when their renegotiation fails.
Now think about it. A general election means what?
It means manifestos. The Lib Dems are going to put a referendum in their manifesto, and the SNP are going to put an independence referendum in theirs
So there are two parties offering another referendum, pulling millions of votes from the centre-right Tories.
While at the same time the Brexit party is screaming betrayal and taking votes on the far right
The only way Boris Johnson - let's pretend it's him - can stop his party being torn apart left and right, is by committing himself to one policy or the other.

Leave with nothing, or not at all.
All he has to do is say that the decision is too big to be left to parliament, and put it back to the country in a second referendum.

And if he wants an election instead, the only way to win is by offering a second referendum anyway.

Either that or Corbyn
I keep watching everyone running around screaming it's the end of the world, but for all the noise and the nutters, we're still no closer leaving the European Union than we were three years ago.
