Well this coverage was predictable.
The “doubling in fees” referred to is an offer to uplift a daily fee of £46.50 to £90.
So, for two hours’ prep and a day in court, a gross hourly rate of £4.65 is increased to £9.

Frankly, with all due respect to the hard work done by the negotiators, government propaganda # like this makes me want to walk out until we’re paid in the way that the government and media pretend we’re paid.
