I’ve been guilty of being the boundary offender in this scenario, more times then I’m comfortable thinking about. But I understand, now, that it was rooted in my own fear of abandonment & rejection, believing that I had to work for love, prove that I was valuable to have around.
The wounds of being separated from one’s first mother are very real. Even, and especially, for those who are separated at birth. It’s a trauma no one gives you language for, though evidence of the wounding permeates ever single relationship.
That fear of separation and loss haunts so many adoptees, myself included. This Jupiter in Scorpio +Saturn in Sagittarius season, however, has opened my eyes to the evidence of my own wounding and how it’s undermined my conscience intentions in relationship and life in general.
I’ve found myself working so hard to avoid rejection and abandonment that I obliterate my own boundaries and overstep others religiously.
I’m grateful for language that articulates my experience. I’m grateful for the clarity and perspective it has brought me. This is part of the Gemini/Eclipse phase of #MutableMadnss2019, too. Finding the words to say what you didn’t realize was happening.
Words mean things because intention behind word choice has moral and political implications and consequences.

But also words mean things because experience being given language has the power to liberate.
The words that @shrinkthinks has shared have liberating power. To understand my own intentions (very much unconscious) empowers me to separate what I do from who I am. It empowers me to choose to do something different that is in tighter harmony with who I am +intend to be.
