Random interesting fact: a Fortune 500 listed stock, $TDAM, estimates it has 92k beneficial owners.

That’s a lot less than I would have expected, although the *true* number of beneficial owners is certainly higher. (92k excludes e.g. teachers owed a pension by a plan holding.)
Can you imagine a visualization of the cap table with visual weight based on size? Would be really interesting, particularly if you could pull out anecdotes on why they were invested.
There’s a magic-of-capitalism narrative by which the company is a collaboration between those 92k people and the 10k or so employees. (Of which I think there is almost 100% overlap, as a result of a one-off stock grant.)
