Another list of ALEC members was recently obtained, showing more Utah lawmakers who are part of the secretive, corporate-backed organization which is making its way into the news more often lately, most recently over the weekend on Netflix's @patriotact
This new list was members of ALEC's task force on "Commerce, Insurance, and Economic Development." Utah members include:
- Speaker Brad Wilson
- Senators Dan Hemmert, Jerry Stevenson, Gregg Buxton, Don Ipson, & Jacob Anderegg
- Rep Kirk Cullimore

The infamous former Rep. Jon Standard was also a legislative member before his not-so-graceful exit from the #utleg last year.

Other Utah lawmakers are well-known members of this conservative org, helping to protect business through promotion of "model" legislation. They include current Senate President Stuart Adams (on the ALEC board of directors) & Utah's ALEC State Chairs (Coleman & Fillmore)
Many of the corporate backers of ALEC have been leaving recently following public pressure campaigns, including Comcast & Verizon.
