I get that actual facts seem irrelevant on Twitter, but the same facilities that AOC is freaking out about operated in almost same way during the Obama years. If they are evil now, they were evil then. But no one thought that back then.
We have a real crisis at the border w/ influx of cases and lack of resources. Many, including some Democrats, are treating it seriously. That means looking for solutions such as providing the resources authorities need to deal with it.

You want better facilities and shorter detention times? Pay for them. Improve the process. Make false asylum claims less likely.

Again, facts matter. Why do people perceive these deaths as unique or because of something different occurring now? Because the media isn't educating the public.

That isn't to say that any deaths are acceptable or that conditions do not need to be seriously improved, but also keep in mind that these facilities are housing on average over 40K people per day. Many who just completed a harsh journey.
