We analyzed tweets mentioning the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates (by full name or Twitter handle) with links to media sites from beginnining of 2019 through June 18th (1555118 tweets/329521 accounts.) A few observations. . .

First, which candidates turn up most frequently? Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Pete Buttigieg comprise the bulk of the traffic - others have had brief bursts of intense activity (Booker, O'Rourke) or steady but lower volume (Gillibrand, Gabbard.)
The two sites most frequently linked from tweets mentioning the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates? Fox News and Breitbart. Most of the other commonly-seen sites are center or left-leaning MSM, but Gateway Pundit, Daily Caller, and a couple other far-right outlets show up.
Next, we looked at the media links by candidate. Breitbart comprises more than 20% of link volume for tweets mentioning 13 of the 23 candidates. Reddit appears frequently-ish in tweets about Delaney, Gravel, Klobuchar, Sanders, Warren, and Yang. RT turns up in Gabbard's chart.
Weird outliers:
- John Delaney shares a name with the CEO of the Football Association of Ireland. The chart in the previous tweet excluded related links; here's a version including them for comparison.
- Amazon links in tweets about O'Rourke are from 3 hyperdiligent sales bots.

What articles are most frequently linked? Here are the titles/headlines of the five articles most often linked alongside each candidate's name or Twitter handle. The prominence of Breitbart is even more visible here - in several cases, it occupies all five of the top slots.
Finally, what about bots? 347354 of the 1555118 tweets (22.3%) were sent via automation tools. By and large, these seem to be of the "newsbot" variety. Several groups of newsbots that we've documented in previous threads turned up (links in next tweet.)
