some people cannot appreciate simple food. i highly advise people, especially if you live alone (just makes it easier) to spend a long period of time eating the most basic food possible with no seasoning, with nothing extra. your palate will change permanently
i used to wear my huge headphones everywhere and listen to music all the time (urban life). one day they broke and i decided to stop listening to music for a while because i noticed i was just using it all the time. when i started listening to music again it was way more intense
it was almost too intense, i had a hard time talking to people while music was on, it went from being this background thing to being a totally immersive experience

this happens with food also
can u appreciate the elegance and beauty of naked baked potato?? can you enjoy it as it is, unhewn?? as god made it? if not, why do you think you will be able to harness its power when you make more “complex” dishes? extremely naive. this applies to all art forms
imagine trying to talk to me while im eating a steak, as if my entire brain is not completely enraptured by the wild elegance of the meat experience. would you talk to me if we were watching a symphony?? i feel sorry for these people. just give them baby food literally who cares
