First of all, imagine police arresting a white woman *for getting shot* - it wouldn't happen.

This woman was a victim of a crime and, as @irin pointed out, the police response was that "the only true victim in this was the unborn baby."

In addition to the hell Alabama is putting this woman through, imagine the precedent this sets - if you lose your pregnancy and the police *say* you acted irresponsibly you can be arrested for it.
