The decision said that they did not have the competence to fix the problem. Which is probably true. Of course, a room full of high school nerds could do it. (And do not yell at me - I took 4 years of math, plus AP Math - I was one.) In addition to being a radical leftist.
The other problem is, the Senate & the EC are both designed to be undemocratic. Women, minorities & even white men w/o property couldn't vote. Plus the original Constitution leaves election law up to the states.
But it would be nice it the Supremes were just honest about it. "This has never been a democratic republic, & never will be, until the people decide to trash our undemocratic, sexist & racist past, & built something better."
tЯump, Яussia, the GOP, election tampering & the 45% that still believes everything that lying fool says, is evidence that it will never work again. We might win some elections, if Яussia & the GOP allow it, but ultimately, any pretense of a democratic republic is gone.
