Many who were former/present members of NTG had an opportunity to choose a stand, pending the outcome of the 'rumours'.
Sadly, many of us choose silence for whatever reasons best known to us.
I find this quite disturbing because this is not what Christ died for- 1
We complain bitterly about how the tradition of our elders had an adverse effect on some of us. Yet, we chose silence?
When the woman caught in adultery was brought to Jesus, he said "...Neither do I condemn you.Go and sin no more...". Yes, but that was after she admitted her sin publicly and sought grace.
Jesus didn't choose neutrality.
If as torch bearers, we chose to dim the light because the accused is one of us, then who is our allegiance to?
Christ or the group?
Many people here know NTG members and waited to see our reactions.
Paul withstood Peter when he was wrong.
Jesus scolded Peter when he allowed the devil use him.
These didn't stop Peter from being the head of the church. It only made him a better leader.
If the allegations are true, then the question shd be, what would Jesus have done? What would Paul have written?
Many people over here have learnt to be more vocal about their faith because of the influence of NTG.
The cause of Jesus shd be our focus.
I, with all my spirit soul and body, condemn it.
I will never be a rape apologist.
I will never be party to sweeping such issue under the carpet of religion and friendship.
I chose to speak out at the same time everyone has an eyes on us.
But in the main time, I would rather let it be known that I am first a Christian before anything else.
Let us not be weary in well doing and in the propagation of the gospel. Let us not stop sharing the world.
The cause of Christ is greater than 'man'.

I am not mincing words.
My stand is clear.
Rape accusations are nothing to be SILENT about.
I want Ken to speak up like the good leader he is.
NTG members need to speak their stand on this.
