1. I see @lawrence and others on @MSNBC discussing the House Ways and Means suit to get Trump's tax returns opining that it will take forever. If they move for a preliminary injunction tomorrow it gets teed up right away and the grant or denial is immediately appealable to the
2. DC Circuit. I'm pretty sure they can piggyback the application for writ of mandamus in the same hearing. And the district court can permit the mandamus to go up on the appeal under 28 USC 1292(b). If they move right away this can be in the DC circuit by August.

1. My best analysis of what Trump did yesterday and what happened in Judge Hazel's court today. First, Trump saw the tweet that he was caving in the census case and went berserk. Demanded an all hands and the Pence was forced to turn around. I would bet that Barr and/or Hunt
2. were required to come to the Whitehouse for Trump's tantrum. It is almost certain that they had already given the options but likely went over it again. They first had to determine the latest possible time to comply with the census under the Constitution. Likely said October.
3. Then they told Trump it would take at least that long or longer to complete the NY and MD cases to get them through the courts of appeals to SCOTUS and so they left thinking it was done. And the printing was left in place.

1. This week's peaceful demonstrations in home states of vulnerable 2020 @SenateGOP was a good thing. Taking to the streets for Trump demonstrations IMO gives him argument that @TheDemocrats are a leftist rabble. I know it is frustrating but I spotted Trump as an existential
2. threat before most. Mueller confirmed my reporting that the Russian intel had infiltrated campaigns. I have tracked the evolution of his move towards dictatorship and it is not beyond imagining that he will attempt to retain power through a response to a civil disturbance.
3. When you weigh that risk against he zero chance a demonstration would modify his evil, it's really not a very difficult choice of the way to go.

.@maddow @MSNBC just outed Jody Hunt. IMO she shouldn't have done that. He had my late brother's job. They need to keep the mad emperor thinking he's wearing clothes.
I think the guest clarified there was no order violated. It was a remand order. If #SCOTUS remanded with instructions to enter an order that the @potus blew off that would be a crisis. Trump blew up at Barr and Hunt drew the short straw.
Best to not yell fire in the theatre when it’s just a word on the subtitles. 😬

The DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel released their opinion about the Treasury's refusal to turn over President #Trump's tax returns and they, as expected, agreed with the Treasury.

They do NOT have to turn them over.
They stated that Congress does not have the right to make the Executive Branch provide confidential information without a legitimate legislative purpose.
Democrats can thank themselves and Rep Richard Neal from the House Committee on Ways and Means because they and Rep Neal campaigned on "making Trump's taxes public," which was proof that Democrats were trying to abuse their positions and weaponize his taxes for campaign purposes.

BREAKING: President Trump learned within the last 24 hours that Robert Mueller would like to ask questions both orally and written for the President to respond to issues surrounding obstruction of justice.

I guess we now know what set Trump off this morning.
Regardless of what Trump does at this point, fire Mueller, dont fire Mueller there is already a dead man's switch that will spring into action should Trump take the additional step in his ongoing obstruction of justice and actually fire him. Furthermore:
Trump has shown his hand and it is weak. While some Trump supporters, especially the QAnon contingent, will believe him no matter what anyone says, no matter how nonsensical/inconstant his lies might be, eventually enough GOP lawmakers will turn on Trump
