The saddest part about the tanks basically being set up as cool looking props inside the ticketed area instead of rolling down the streets thru the crowds is that we might not get a viral photo of some brave Resistance influencer trying to recreate Tiananmen’s Tank Man after all.
Much to the consternation of everyone praying that the rain would ruin everyone’s Fourth of July in the nation’s capital, it looks like the downpour in D.C. is probably going to cool down the National Mall and then clear up just in time for Trump’s Salute to America speech.
BTW it really is a shame that those tanks aren’t on display on the public area of the National Mall and accessible to everyone.
