Also to be called out: the high-end clubs, hotels, and watering holes which take a blind eye to such activities even as they try and brand themselves as female friendly. *cough*
Briefly member @TheBatterySF. Went twice. Once, main bar seemed as many 50+ men w/ young Eastern European women. 🤷♀️ 2nd time, douchey bros ~jokingly~ tried to trap some friends & I in small room and berate us. Complained to management and...eventually got partial refund.
Those are isolated incidents, to be sure. But what was clear in that pre #meToo era was that they did not care about the concerns of the so-called creative class women they'd recruited to make their place seem less...
Anyway, enablers exist everywhere. Especially in the grazing grounds of the rich, powerful, and mostly dumbshits.
