Agriculture representatives said the previous government's efforts to make farms and ranches safer landed in a good place, yet the @jkenney is proposing to exempt these workplaces from the OHS Code.

This sector has the most dangerous workplaces in Alberta.
The online survey asks if employers should not have to report "potentially serious (near miss) injuries and incidents."
That's when an employer almost kills or seriously injures a worker. This is basic health and safety stuff. Why would any government propose this?

Exempt small farms from the OHS Code?
These are the minimum technical requirements for Alberta workplaces. Things like rollover protection - one of the leading causes of farm & ranch workers.
The @jkenney proposes to do away with these.
