So, since this guy posted a bunch of stuff and the blocked me and ran, I have a few thoughts...

First off, the crimes Mueller documented (IRA, GRU conspiracy w/campaign) as being in his scope were surprisingly narrow, very improbable, and did not include two big categories of crime that were raised as strong questions well before his investigation started.

It's really clear the GRU and IRA were trying to help Trump, but the idea that Trump had to do anything in furtherance of those specific conspiracies is not that likely. What would they need from him? Nothing.

But the idea that there were secret financial incentives for both parties to act in unison -- and for Trump to keep anything he heard about the Russian activities secret -- well, we know that is actually true: See Trump Tower Moscow. And if that's not a crime, it should be.

But that aside, obstructing an investigation because you are trying to hide things you think are or may be illegal is a corrupt act. It's clearly obstruction of justice.

And it deserves a full hearing. That's why Mueller passed to Congress -- and why Barr intercepted the pass.

In this case, it is Barr who jumped In and overruled Mueller to say "no obstruction". That wasn't his role. The entire point of the special prosecutor was to have independence in that kind of decision. And by the way, 4 months in, Barr still hasn't shown his work on that call.

Barr is just as complicit as Trump is. He clearly lied to the public. He overruled Mueller. He lied about overruling Mueller. And Trump installed him to do exactly this.
