A few thoughts:

1) The journalists and politicos who conflate "immigrant" and "illegal alien" are not just factually incorrect, they're maliciously misleading us. Proof:

@SharylAttkisson 2/ See in particular Schumer's 2009 speech. It's like he was brought back to the factory and reset to not even recognize the previous version of himself, or what he said.

2) Your points are SO incredibly important - but even you used the term "immigrant" who cross illegally...

@SharylAttkisson 3/ ... when you referred to them as "illegal immigrants." It clashes with your earlier point about house guests, vs home invaders.

The legal, proper term is illegal aliens. As opposed to legal resident alien (green card, student visa holders, etc.).

@SharylAttkisson 4/ To even grant anyone who is here illegally the fig leaf of "immigrant" is playing right into the malicious liars' hands.

Your points on "child separation policy" are incredibly important, and should be discussed in a public forum.

I would suggest, however...

@SharylAttkisson 5/ ....that some of these kids, murdered by criminal illegal aliens who'd been deported 2, 5, 10, 20 or more times, then were able to walk right back in over our border, be included in this discussion. They were permanently "separated" from their parents:

@SharylAttkisson 7/ In "The Smear," you identify & describe professional campaigns built to convince us of things that aren't true, and thus, subvert our ability to self-govern & protect ourselves. There are hands behind this curtain, too, to turn our language upside down, to protect criminals.

@SharylAttkisson 8/ That ^ I think is worthy of deep investigation, as to where these lies, obfuscations & conflations began, and whether the "journalists" who employ them actually know the reality (and are lying), or are so ignorant and malleable, they don't (re Ben Rhodes). And do it PUBLICLY.
