I was right. May has no clue about the difference between a hole in the ground and other more nefarious holes. Producers purchase oil to refine, not the government.

The problem is, all her Green supporters don’t know anything about the oil industry either, or how dependent we are on US for refining, by design. Or we already provide 40% of oil for Quebec. But transport capacity is maxed, so if we want to supply internally, more pipelines.
Basically, May hasn’t a clue what is required to address climate change, she’s just good at self promotion. You’d think as a lawyer she’d understand agreements have been signed, contracts have been made and signed.
But no, she tells people what they want to hear, not the truth.

We don’t have the capability to supply eastern Canada without building another pipeline. Energy East. We don’t have enough jobs to replace the fracking jobs she wants to eliminate immediately, exacerbating the unemployment of industry workers.
Like I said. May doesn’t have the ability to lead her party to increased popularity, nevermind a nation caught in a major battle for control of energy profits, or beseiged by foreign industry producers demanding removal of regulations and environmental protections.
She knows full well her environmental plans and climate change proposed actions will never be the mandate. So she can promise her supporters the moon. She will never have to put her make-believe “plans” in action. However similar they are to CPC ethical oil fictional narratives.
