People are forgetting that the reason why people started buying meat in supermarkets was because we found out our local butchers were selling us punda, mbwa, and even paka. Remember those cat meat samosas in Nakuru? Even rumours of human meat being sold were rampant...
So we started switching to supermarkets assuming their meat was more kosher, maybe even halal. Because not all of us have the time to go to the kichinjio.
Saying meat from local butcher is better is to have a short memory. Local butchers have been rumoured to sell human flesh!!
This Okari expose should not pull us back to local butcher. It should make us so angry as to ask Government how the hell we're here.
Even going vegan won't help. Those mbogas could very well be full of literal human waste. I never buy sukuma at my Kasa local because I *know*...
...exactly where they're grown and I have seen them being peppered with sewage water with my own eyes. Ndigihota. So I buy at a nearby supermarket. Nice, juicy bunch for 19bob. But now, there's no guarantee those ones are not suspect as well. Where do we go next in this Nairobi?
And see now. Very high cancer rates in Kenya right now, and I would venture a guess and say it is because of all these chemicals we are ingesting unknowingly. Even milk from the local is full of poison. Milk from the supermarkets je? Do we know what's in that packet of Kinangop?
...or Molo or Daima? I remember another expose a while back on one of these big brands triggering allergic outbreaks, meaning even processed milk is not kosher. And the milk from the local is full of hydrogen peroxide. What the hell is this? Nothing edible to eat anymore!!!!!
Even grains are suspicious. Rice is full of plastic. Unga full of aflatoxins. What else do we do here?
Government is meant to protect citizens from this, because on this one, we are helpless victims. None of us has reagents to test meat or milk before buying. So we buy. Eat.
Get cancers. In a country where healthcare has been gobbled up by private sector. These days even that one insurance cover cannot cater for your cancer treatment.

Where is KEBS et al? Asleep on the job as usual. So we continue getting sick and dying. All because of GREED.
Greed is the one thing that is killing us. Greed.
We've allowed the chase for the shilling to cloud our thinking, enforcing of the law, everything. We've allowed greed to become our overarching narrative. So we poison the populace to line our pockets. Or look the other way.
