fun fact I learned yesterday: it doesn't have to be made in Kentucky to be labeled "Bourbon" because an Act of Congress made bourbon America's National Spirit in 1964
incorrect: legally, a spirit distilled in the United States made from a mash that is at least 51% corn and stored in charred oak barrels may be labeled "bourbon."
Look Kentuckians, I didn't mean this to trigger you, no one is seriously challenging your global dominance in bourbon, fried chicken, and comically gigantic ladies' horse race hats
I actually posted that to trigger my Kentucky native friend Sherry Jo who has sworn to me up and down for 15 years that it has to be made in Bourbon County Kentucky to be called bourbon.

Ball's in your court, Sherry Jo.

In any case, if you’re ever in Hye, Texas I highly recommend dropping by Garrison Bros Distillery for a tour
That guy holding the bottle is "Coach", a retired Texas high school football coach who is the most retired Texas high school football coach of all the retired Texas high school football coaches I have ever met
when he starts talking with that raspy baritone drawl, you'll have flashbacks to blocking drills and wind sprints
Some people were just born to stand astride a blocking sled barking encouragement in polyester shorts
